ASSEMBLY

The unattended robotic workplace enables the assembly and inspection of 18 basic types of products, including their handling. The industrial robot picks up the bulk parts coming along the conveyor. The position of these parts in 3D space is focused by a camera system. Subsequently, these parts are inserted and pressed into the correct position on the final products, which are placed in the nests on the conveyor. A part of the workplace is a camera station, which checks the parameters of the assembled product.

The automated workplace follows the technology of injection molding, from which products are removed and loaded into the matrices by a Cartesian manipulator. The subsequent work, such as picking up and assembling metal elements and taking products for further processing, is performed by a 6-axis Staubli robot.

In addition to the multifunction gripper, the robot arm is equipped with a camera system, which determines the exact positions of the mounting holes, inspects them (dimensions, overflows, burrs) and then verifies the correct placement of metal elements in the molding.

The device also includes a fixed camera station, which checks the parameters of the inserted elements before their actual assembly.

The use of industrial robots and machine vision brings a synergistic effect which guarantees 100% control of both semi-finished products entering the assembly process and completed assembled products.

The robotized workplace enables complex precision assembly of the production sub-assembly.

The workplace includes camera guidance of the robot for removing input components, electrical test, pressing, riveting and, last but not least, autonomous feeders for input material.
